Shared context does not mean unrestricted cross-product access.
Access follows the organisation
Subscribed products and the user's own access determine which product workspaces are available. A multi-product organisation does not imply every user can enter every product.
Handoffs preserve ownership
A source product remains authoritative for its operational workflow while a receiving product owns its own domain records. Cross-product integration should not create two competing sources of truth.

School → Accounting
School owns school billing. Successful School billing actions can create durable financial events for Accounting, while the School write remains authoritative if Accounting delivery must retry.
HR & Payroll → Accounting
HR & Payroll owns employees and approved payroll calculations. Approved payroll emits governed financial events or journal instructions; Accounting owns the ledger.
School ↔ HR & Payroll
School keeps students, parents, teaching relationships and School access. When HR & Payroll is subscribed, a School staff identity can link to an HR employee record across the shared organisation boundary without making HR mandatory for School access.
Product switching
For production organisations, product availability is subscription-gated and the application switcher appears only when the organisation and the signed-in user have access to multiple products.
Clear ownership
Know which product owns each business record.
Cross-product integration works best when operational ownership stays explicit. A financial handoff to Accounting does not transfer ownership of the source workflow to Accounting.

Cross-product example
A school can run billing in School and keep the accounting ledger in Accounting.
A school invoice originates from the School billing workflow. The resulting financial event can be delivered to Accounting through the integration boundary. This lets the school administration team keep its operational workflow while the finance team works from the accounting system of record.
The same ownership principle applies to payroll: HR & Payroll calculates and approves compensation; Accounting owns the ledger impact.
